Mystical Mo is a drummer,percussionist and vocalist from Hannover-Germany. He performs as a solo drummer and in several bands.

Stylistically, Mo is at home with everything Groove has.

His favourite music is music with African roots like Funk, HipHop, Reggae, Dancehall, Jungle, Jazz,

Soul, Latin…

Over the years he played in these genres with countless singers, musicians, DJ’s and dancers in

many cities around the world and looks back on many great gigs.

From 2001 – 2015 he was an integral part of the Hanoverian souljazz band The Screen Club of the

Saxophonist David Milzow.

In 2002, he joined the Reggae – & Afrobeat-Band Jam Salaam and learnt a lot about Reggae &

african music.

In 2004, he worked a lot in the funk / soul genre with the Soulpower project. On monthly basis,

Singers came from the vicious circle of James Brown to Hannover and were from the screen

Club accompanied. Namely: Marva Whitney, Martha High, Sweet Charles Sherrell,

Waldo Wheaters, Corey Parker. He also went with Marva Whitney in 2006 on

european tour.

In recent years, most live concerts in the genre have been reggae / dancehall and there have been

so many festivals throughout Europe contested:

Summerjam (2015/2018,2019), Reggaejam Bersenbrück (2015, 2016), Ruhr Reggae Summer(2011,

2013, 2015, 2018,2019), Keep It Real Jam ( 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016), Chiemsee Reggae Summer

(2015), Reggae Fever / NL (2016), Pleins Les Watts / Schweiz (2014). Weedbeat Festival (2006,

2007, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018). Black Forest On Fire (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), Irish

International Ska and Reggae Fest / Irland (2017, 2018) and many more.

He played with successful singers like:

Turbulence, Bugle, Cali P, Jah Mason, Perfect Giddimani, Norris Man, Torch, Randy Valentine,

Etzia, Raymond Wright, Rebellion The Recaller, Owen Casey, RC, Exile Di Brave, Ras Muhamad. Colah Colah, Treesha

And also german singers like: Ganjaman, Dflame, Mamadee, Sara Lugo, Benjie, Tóke, Uwe Banton, Trixstar, Mellow Mark and many more.

The backingbands named Boomrush Backup and Soul Rebelz.

Mo has his base in Hanover. There he plays with his band Peace Development Crew and the

Backingband Soul Rebelz also mainly Reggae, Dancehall and HipHop.

Through the many concerts, as well as the interest in reggae Mo developed an authentic

Reggae groove based on drum names like Carlton Barrett or Sly Dunbar.

In 2017 the current album “Better Days” of the Peace Development Crew came in 19th place

Global Reggae Charts.

This was followed by concerts in Germany, Holland and Ireland with the entire band.
